Seminar on communication skill held at RUET

RAJSHAHI, July 30, 2025 (BSS) - A seminar on "Mastering Communications: the Key to Personal and Professional Success" was held at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) here today.

Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) Club organized the seminar at RUET hall room emphasizing the importance of communication skills for students, particularly for professional development and to meet the needs of modern industries.

Bangladesh Head of Communications of United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP) Abdul Kayum addressed the seminar as focal person with Chairman of IPE Department and Chief Patroniser of IPE Club Prof Mosharraf Hossain in the chair.  

Abdul Kayum said communication is not only speaking skills but also hearing, realization and influence-making integration. Communication skill is indispensable for success in individual and professional life. So, there is no way but to attain competence in communication side by side with curricular activities, he added. 

Focusing on communication skills, Prof Mossarraf Hossain said RUET has facilities like a video conference hall and has previously organized events related to professional ICT skills and communication skills development.

They are giving importance to communication skills for students, particularly for professional development and to meet the needs of modern industries.

Apart from this, video conference can be used to connect with others globally for knowledge sharing and skill development.
