Govt. asks employees to take possession of allotted houses in 10 days

DHAKA, July 31, 2025 (BSS) - The Directorate of the Government Accommodation today asked officials and employees to take possession of houses allotted in their name in 10 days of receipt of the allotment order.

The directorate in a statement said a number of government owned residential structures were found vacant for a long time as allotment recipients refrained from taking possessions.

It said if the allotment recipients were unwilling to take possession of the allotted houses, they must inform the Housing Directorate immediately.

Officials concerned said in some cases the recipients applied for changing the allotted houses or cancellation of the allotment.

The directorate of the government accommodation usually allocates government houses on various categories subject to certain conditions.
