DHAKA, Aug 3, 2025 (BSS) – The government today appointed additional secretary of Statistics and Informatics Division SM Shakil Akhter as the new secretary of Fisheries and Livestock Ministry.

A Public Administration Ministry statement said Akhtar’s appointment was made following his simultaneous promotion from an additional secretary to secretary to the government which would be enforced with immediate effect.
