DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) – The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a set of awareness messages urging people to take preventive measures against dengue as the spread of Aedes mosquito infection intensifies across the country.

According to a handout issued today, the number of dengue patients has increased alarmingly in recent weeks, with a sharp rise in hospital admissions in both public and private healthcare facilities.

To control the situation, the ministry has requested all public and private electronic media outlets to broadcast the dengue awareness messages regularly and free of cost in the public interest.

The messages call on people to seek medical advice and dengue diagnosis at the very onset of fever, follow treatment instructions from physicians, and maintain cleanliness by removing stagnant water in and around homes, under-construction buildings, and educational institutions.

The ministry also emphasized the use of mosquito nets both during the day and night and advised the public not to neglect post-recovery care, urging them to consult doctors promptly to avoid further complications after recovery from fever.
