Two die from dengue in last 24 hours in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, August 4, 2025 (BSS) - Two people died and 19 others were infected with dengue in Chattogram city and district in the last 24 hours.

Civil Surgeon Dr Jahangir Alam confirmed that 55-year-old Duki Chakma and a youth named Tahasin Azmi died while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital. He said 19 new dengue patients have been admitted to government hospitals in the past 24 hours.

According to the Chattogram Civil Surgeon's Office, a total of 945 people have been admitted to various hospitals in the city with dengue so far this year. Among them, 12 have died from the disease.

The Civil Surgeon further said that at least 28 dengue patients are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the city.
