No new COVID-19 cases reported in 24 hours

DHAKA, Aug 17, 2025 (BSS) - The Health Department has confirmed that no new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the country during the past 24 hours, from 8:00 am Saturday to 8:00 am Sunday. 

During this period, 38 samples were tested, yielding a zero percent positivity rate.

No COVID-related deaths were reported in the same timeframe.

According to an official data, 31 people have died of COVID-19 in 2025, bringing the total death toll since the start of the pandemic in 2020 to 29,530.
