Chinese delegation meets DU pro-vice chancellor

DHAKA, Aug 25, 2025 (BSS) - A thirteen-member delegation today called on Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed.

The delegation led by Sun Yong, Vice-Governor of Anhui Province of China, paid the call on at VC's meeting room of DU, according to a press release. 

Other team members of the Chinese delegation were Zhou Mingjie, Fang Jinsong, Yang Xiaolin, Hou Qijie, Wang Haixia, Yang Zhen, Liu Yang, Zhai Rongsheng, Wang Mingxin, Liu Chunyang, Wang Zhengqiao and Chen Shansheng.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues, including joint collaborative academic and research programmes on science and technology, biotechnology and artificial intelligence.

They also discussed exchange of teachers, students and cultural teams among Dhaka University and different Chinese universities in the meeting.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed said the historical friendly relationship between Bangladesh and China has been prevailing for many years. 

He stressed the need for undertaking more collaborative academic and research programmes between Dhaka University and Chinese universities.
