CHATTOGRAM, Aug 25, 2025 (BSS) – Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain has emphasized that Bangladesh is a shining example of communal harmony, where people of all religions practice their faiths peacefully in mosques, temples and pagodas.

He strongly dismissed rumors spread by certain media outlets calling them 'untrue' and emphasizing that such falsehoods should be ignored.

Speaking as the chief guest at the Azimushshan Miladunnabi  Mahfil organized by the Bangladesh Ahlus Sunnat Wal Jamaat-Chittagong at the Andarkilla Shahi Jame Mosque in Chittagong city on Monday evening, Dr. Hossain called for heightened vigilance against "mischief-makers" who seek to spread religious division through propaganda.

“We must remain united against those who try to stir discord. We must be aware of the miscreants attempting to exploit religion for their own motives,” he stated.

Dr. Hossain further emphasized the importance of spreading the timeless life and ideals of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), describing them as a beacon for mankind.

"If we share his teachings of love, compassion and unity, our lives will be enriched and society will be enlightened. It is our moral responsibility to do so,” he added.

Reflecting on last year’s Eid-e-Miladunnabi and Seeratunnabi observance, Dr. Hossain called for continued unity, urging the public to leave behind jealousy and division.
"In the days ahead, we must walk together, as one community," he said.
