DHAKA, August 26, 2025 (BSS)– The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a circular mentioning that waitlisted candidates of government jobs with grades 13-20 will be issued appointment letters in case of declining from primarily selected candidates.

As per the circular issued recently, waitlisted candidates would get 10 days to join their post.
It said this circular will only be applicable for grades 13-20 in pay scale but not any Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) cadre or non-cadre recruitments.

The Public Administration Ministry cancelled its previous circular of April 17, 2023 with this circular sent to all ministries and divisions.

The existing rules require a list of selected candidates be accompanied with a waiting list with twice the number of candidates.

The rules also require and empty spots are filled with candidates from the general quota if there is no one eligible from specific quotas.
