None involved in destroying communal harmony to be spared: Fouzul

DHAKA, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) – Railway Ministry Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan today warned of taking stern actions against those involved in destroying communal harmony in the country.     

“If anyone tries to destroy communal harmony, he/she won’t be given any concession…Strict legal action will be taken against those,” he said.

Calling upon all to maintain communal harmony in all religions, he sounded a note of caution saying, “None involved in ruining the country’s communal harmony will be spared.”    

The adviser made the comments at an event organized for handing over allotment papers of providing lands to two mosques and a temple at a symbolic price in the capital’s Joar Sahara Mouza of Khilkhet and Cantonment areas. The event was held at the Railway Bhaban there. 

Dhaka Divisional Railway Manager Md. Mohiuddin Arif handed over the allotment papers to the management committee of the mosques and the temple at the function.

Of the allotted lands, 0.2011 acre (8760 sq ft) of land was allotted for Khilkhet Railway Jame Mosque in Joar Sahara Mouza under Dhaka Cantonment Police Station while 0.0552 acre (2405 sq ft) for An-Noor Jame Mosque in the same Mouza, and 0.0562 acre (2450 sq ft) for Khilkhet Sarbajanin Sri Sri Durga Temple in the same Mouza under Khilkhet Police Station.

The lands were allotted in exchange of symbolic price determined by Bangladesh Railway.

Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. A.F.M. Khalid Hossain, Primary and Mass Education Adviser, Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor to the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and Railways Dr. Sheik Moinuddin, Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Shafiqul Alam, Secretary to the Ministry of Railways Md. Fahimul Islam, Director General of Bangladesh Railway Md. Afzal Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion.
