DHAKA, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) – A memorial meeting on Professor Dr M Shamser Ali was held today at RC Majumder Arts Auditorium of the Dhaka University.

World Religion and Cultural Department of the Dhaka University organized the memorial meeting.

Bangladesh Open University Vice Chancellor,  Professor Dr ABM Obaidul Islam, Dhaka University World Religion and Cultural Department founder chairman Professor Dr Kazi Nurul Islam, Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT) Director General Dr M Abdul Aziz, Dhaka University Physics department Chairman Professor Dr Aminul Islam Talukder, Philosophy department Professor Dr Shah Kawser Mustafa Abul Ulayee, History department Professor Dr Milton Kumar Dev, World Religion and Cultural Department Chairman Professor Dr M Abu Sayem and Professor M Illius, Quantum Foundation Rabiya Naznin and deceased grand daughter Fariya, among others, participated in the discussion.

At the memorial meeting, they discussed on various aspects of the colourful life of Professor Dr M Shamser Ali. 

Later, a Munajat   was also held seeking eternal peace of his departed soul.
