DMP files 2,287 cases for traffic rules violation

DHAKA, Aug 28, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2,287 cases across the capital for violating traffic rules.

DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during the last one day on August 27 during regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued here today. 

The release said the DMP traffic police dumped 356 motor vehicles and towed 123 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets for city dwellers' smooth movement.
