Piloting activities from August 30 at 7 intersections from Education Building to Airport

DHAKA, Aug 28, 2025 (BSS) - A meeting on the installation of signals from the Education Building to the Airport was held at the meeting room of Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) today.

Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser in charge of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and the Ministry of Railways, Sheikh Moinuddin, presided over the meeting, said a press release here.

It is mentionable that the installation of 22 signals is underway at 22 intersections from the High Court to the Airport, funded by Dhaka North and Dhaka South City Corporations and BUET, in coordination with the DTCA.

The piloting activity will continue at seven intersections of the corridor for two weeks from August 30.

During the traffic crossing piloting, leaflet distribution and television advertising activities have been undertaken to increase awareness among pedestrians and drivers.
