Nine cases of dengue, 56 cases of chikungunya reported in last 24 hrs in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 29, 2025 (BSS) – A total of 56 people have been infected with Chikungunya and nine with Dengue in the last 24 hours in Chattogram district.
 
Chittagong Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam confirmed this information on Friday afternoon.
 
According to Chattogram Civil Surgeon's office, a total of 1,499 people were admitted to hospitals in the city with dengue fever this year, with 15 fatalities. Additionally, 2,744 people have been infected with Chikungunya this year.
 
District Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam stated that at least 41 patients, including 29 with Chikungunya, are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals in the city.
