Mirza Fakhrul condemns attacks on Nur

DHAKA, Aug 30, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has strongly condemned and protested the attacks on Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur (VP Nur), its General Secretary Rashed Khan and many other leaders and activists.

In a statement issued last night, he said BNP respects the rights of holding all peaceful political programs.

BNP does not support any activity that disrupts the practice of democratic political culture and it condemns attacks on political programmes, it said.

The BNP secretary general demanded taking all possible steps to ensure Nur's proper treatment and wished him speedy recovery.
