RAJSHAHI, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS)- Rajshahi University of Engineering and 
Technology (RUET) has been giving top priority to research in higher 
education to attain desired yield in this field.

Vice-chancellor (VC) Professor SM Abdur Razzaque revealed this while 
presiding over the 27th meeting of the research evaluation committee at RUET 
conference hall here today.

Committee-members Prof Shamsul Alam, Prof Rabiul Islam Sarker, Prof 
Quamruzzaman, Prof Sohel Rana, Prof Abdul Khaleque, Nazimuddin Ahmed and 
Engineer Shahadat Hossain joined the meeting.

VC Prof Abdur Razzaque stressed the need for integrated efforts for 
strengthening the research-oriented education. There is no alternative to 
improve the quality of research for furthermore intensifying the advancement 
of the country and the nation as well, he added.

With this in view, he mentioned that they are giving highest importance to 
research in higher education.

RUET has also promoted a method to improve the quality of academic 
publications and reduce plagiarism by enhancing the writing capabilities of 
its teachers and researchers.
