Tarique Rahman mourns death of orthopaedic surgeon Aman Ullah’s father

DHAKA, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) – BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of retired headmaster Mahmud Ullah, father of member of Board of Directors of Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) and renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Shah Muhammad Aman Ullah.

In a condolence message today, Tarique Rahman said Mahmud Ullah was an ideal teacher. 
The BNP Acting Chairman said Mahmud Ullah taught in various government high schools and built up numerous students into worthy citizens of the country who are today holding various important positions in the state. 

At the same time, he also educated his children in higher education and developed them into worthy citizens of the country, said Tarique Rahman. 

In the current social situation of the country, a great teacher like the late Mahmud Ullah was very much needed, he said.

He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to bereaved family members.

Mahmud Ullah died of old age complications on Saturday evening while undergoing treatment at the Comfort Hospital in the capital.

He was 79.
