Application process for make-up courses in polytechnics begins

DHAKA, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) has announced the commencement of application process for make-up courses in 10 selected polytechnic institutes across the country.

According to an official notification signed by BTEB Director (Curriculum) Engineer Md. Anwarul Kabir, the application process began today and will continue until September 15.

The initiative aims to ensure academic equivalence for students whose previous academic credentials have less than 65 percent similarity with the existing technology curriculum. Such students will be required to complete the make-up course before being eligible for an equivalence certificate.

According to the notification, the 10 polytechnic institutes where make-up courses will take place are: Dhaka Polytechnic Institute, Dhaka Women's Polytechnic Institute, Chattogram Polytechnic Institute, Mymensingh Polytechnic Institute, Khulna Polytechnic Institute, Barishal Polytechnic Institute, Sylhet Polytechnic Institute, Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute, Bogura Polytechnic Institute and Rangpur Polytechnic Institute.

It also stated that a maximum of 40 and a minimum of 10 students can participate in each batch of each technology.
