20 dengue, 30 chikungunya new cases reported in Ctg in 24 hrs

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 4, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 30 new cases of Chikungunya and 20 cases of Dengue have been reported in Chattogram district in the last 24 hours.

The information was confirmed by Chattogram Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Civil Surgeon's office, a total of 2,702 people have been hospitalized with Dengue so far this year, resulting in 16 deaths. In addition, 2,980 Chikungunya cases have been reported during the same period.

Currently, 61 patients-including 42 suffering from Chikungunya-are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the city, said Dr. Jahangir Alam.
