ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) - Two professors of Islamic University (IU) in Khustia have secured positions in the world's top 2% researchers' list.

The recognized scholars are Professor Dr. Habibur Rahman of Computer Science and Engineering Department and Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Department of the university.

The list was jointly prepared by Stanford University, USA, and the Netherlands-based publishing company Elsevier.

However, this ranking was based on the number of citations and research impact, reflecting the global influence of a researcher's publications and contributions.

The survey results were published on 19 September 2025.
