Speaking on occasion, Social Works Department Chairman Prof Dr Mustafa Hasan said, "Modern life has become a challenge for our mental health. We need to make our families, institutions and the surrounding environment supportive and compassionate towards the mentally broken people."

Prof Dr Mohsin Reza said, “About 75% adolescents of the society suffer from mental trauma. They are affected by mental problems in some way or the others as well.

“Mental health is not just a personal matter . . . it is the basis of our mutual relationships and social balance,” he observed.

Ensuring the mental health of all colleagues, friends, family or relatives is a human responsibility and a real expression of compassion for each other, he added.

Prof Dr Anwar Hossain said everyone should behave very carefully so that none gets hurt and their mental health is not damaged.

Assistant Prof Muhammad Shahidul Haque said, “A person should be careful about his own mental health as well as the mental health of the people around him.”

He said if someone's mental health is disturbed, the family members, teachers and friends can initially play an important role.
