Hossain Sadat made ICSB president

DHAKA, Oct 10, 2025 (BSS) - Hossain Sadat FCS has been elected as President of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) in its 114th Council Meeting held on Thursday. He previously served on the ICSB Council from 2013 to 2016.

A seasoned corporate leader with nearly 30 years of cross-industry experience, Sadat brings deep expertise in corporate governance, regulatory strategy, sustainability, financial management, and strategic communications. 

He has held several senior leadership positions across Grameenphone Ltd., Shell Oil and Gas, Cairn Energy PLC, and KPMG Rahman Rahman Huq.
 
The Council of the Institute, at the same meeting also elected Md. Rafiqul Islam FCS as the Senior Vice President of the Institute. 

Prior to this new assignment, he served as the Member Secretary of the International Relations Sub-Committee of ICSB for the term 2016-2019 and Member of the Company Law Review Sub Committee for the term 2019-2022. 

Islam, having 25 years of professional experience is now working as the Deputy Managing Director & Company Secretary of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC.
