DHAKA, Oct 10, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested nine people involved in various crimes under Hatirjheel Police Station in the capital.

According to a press release issued by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media and public relations division, the arrested are - Md Kamal Hossain (44), Md Nure Alam (45), Md Osman (39), Md Abdur Rahman (56), Md Billal Garami (30), Md Roni (25), Md Shuvo Islam Kausar (24), Bappi Sikder (35) and Moniruzzaman Bappi alias Bappi Sikder (32).

The release said Hatirjheel police conducted a day-long special anti-crime operation in various crime-prone areas and arrested them yesterday. 

It said the arrested include regular case accused, warrant accused, members of oggyan party and other criminals involved in various crimes.

The release said the DMP’s various police stations have been carrying out anti crime operations to bring law and order situation under control.  

The arrested were produced before the court, it added.
