460 dengue patients hospitalised in 24 hrs

DHAKA, Nov 14, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 460 new dengue patients were hospitalised across the country during the last 24 hours.

Of the newly hospitalized patients, 55 were admitted in Barishal Division (outside City Corporation), 125 in Chattogram Division (outside City Corporation), 71 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 145 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 26 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 33 in Mymensingh Division (outside City Corporation) and 5 in Sylhet Division (outside City Corporation). 

During the same period, 512 dengue patients were released from hospitals after recovery, raising the total number of recoveries this year to 79,460, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

No new dengue-related deaths were recorded during this period, keeping the death toll unchanged at 326.

So far in 2025, a total of 83,066 dengue cases have been recorded, of which 61.1 percent are male and 38.9 percent female, the DGHS release added.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported.
