DHAKA, Nov 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Ministry of Education has suspended the formation of managing committees in MPO-listed educational institutions for three months.

The suspension was announced through a letter issued on Saturday, signed by Syed A. Z Morshed Ali, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division.

The decision comes in compliance with a High Court order that stayed the ministry's circular of September 8 regarding ad-hoc and regular committee formation under the Governing Body and Managing Committee Regulations, 2024.

During the suspension period, educational institutions whose ad-hoc committees have already expired will be administered temporarily by the Upazila Nirbahi Officers at the upazila level and Deputy Commissioners or their authorised representatives at the district level, as per Article 69 of the regulations.
