Armoured Corps plays unique role in serving nation: Army chief

DHAKA, Nov 26, 2025 (BSS) - Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman has urged all members of the Armoured Corps to continue playing their unique role in serving the country and to prepare themselves to meet emerging global challenges through modern, up-to-date training.

He made the remarks as the chief guest at the Armoured Corps Annual Commander Conference-2025, held at the Armoured Corps Centre and School (ACC&S) in Bogura Cantonment, according to an ISPR release issued today.

General Waker highlighted the proud legacy of the Armoured Corps and their significant contributions to national service. He also provided various directives to unit commanders and officials regarding the overall development of both the corps and the Bangladesh Army.

Later, the Army chief took part in a tree plantation programme at the ACC&S and posed for photographs with corps commanders.

Earlier, he was received at the ACC&S by the GOC of Army Training and Doctrine Command, the Colonel Commandant of the Armoured Corps, the GOC of the 11 Infantry Division and Bogura Area Commander and the Commandant of ACC&S.
