BAGERHAT, Nov 26, 2025 (BSS) - A joint team of Coast Guard Station Sharankhola and police seized three country-made firearms, three rounds of live cartridges and Taka 43,000 in counterfeit notes during an overnight operation near Rayenda Bazar in Sharankhola upazila early Wednesday.

Acting on a tip-off, the team launched the raid around 1 am. However, no arrests were made as the suspects fled upon sensing the presence of law enforcers, officials said.

Four button phones were also recovered from the scene, which investigators believe were used for criminal activities.

The seized items have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings are underway.

Coast Guard West Zone Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Md Muntasir Ibne Mohsin confirmed the development to BSS.
