Global Sourcing Expo-2025 from tomorrow

DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) - The 'Global Sourcing Expo-2025' will begin from tomorrow at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal.

The three-day event is being organised by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) under the Ministry of Commerce.

The primary objective of the expo is to provide a major platform for industry stakeholders by bringing together global buyers, investors, foreign companies and the domestic Bangladeshi business community. 

Bangladeshi entrepreneurs and exporters will take part as the main exhibitors, aiming to connect with international buyers and sourcing partners.

At a recent press conference at TCB Bhaban in the capital, EPB Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Mohammad Hasan Arif disclosed the details.

Hasan Arif said the expo aims to boost export volume and create new opportunities in global markets.
 
He also said the event is expected to contribute significantly to product diversification and the expansion of export destinations for Bangladeshi goods.

The expo will highlight eight key sectors of the economy: apparel, leather and leather goods, jute and jute products, agro and agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, IT and ITES, home d‚cor and furniture, and plastics and kitchenware.

The Global Sourcing Expo-2025 will include exhibition stalls, B2B matchmaking sessions, networking opportunities, seminars and a dedicated fashion show.

The inaugural ceremony will be held tomorrow at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (Big Wave) in Purbachal.

Sk Bashir Uddin, Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Textiles and Jute, and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, is expected to attend as the chief guest.

Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser to the Ministry of Industries and Ministry of Housing and Public Works, and Lutfey Siddiqi, Special Envoy to the Chief Adviser on International Affairs, will be present as guests of honour at the ceremony.

Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, will chair the inaugural session, while Md Abdur Rahim Khan, Administrator of FBCCI and Additional Secretary (Export) of the Ministry of Commerce, and Mohammad Hatem, President of the Exporters' Association of Bangladesh (EAB), will join the ceremony as special guests.
