BSS chairman offers doa seeking Khaleda Zia’s early recovery

DHAKA, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS)- Anwar Aldin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) and Joint Editor of The Daily Ittefaq, today arranged a special dua mahfil seeking recovery of the former prime minister and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in Khulna.

The prayers included a Quran Khatam, doa, and food distribution among the orphans at Darus Sunnah Hafijia Madrasa and Orphanage.

Former co-organizing secretary of Khulna district Chhatra Dal Tanvir Alam Chanchal, former student leader ASM Shahriar Hasan Babu and local leaders of BNP and its front organizations were present.

Begum Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at the Evercare Hospital in the capital since November 23 after she suddenly fell sick.

Although her physical condition deteriorated several times but its stable now, said her personal physician Prof. Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.

Meanwhile Dr. Zubaida Rahman, her elder daughter-in-law and wife of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, yesterday came to Dhaka from London to see her. 

Regarding the advanced treatment abroad, AZM Zahid Hossain said, "Air ambulance is ready but the decision to shift her abroad for treatment depends solely on her physical condition.”
