NU working to develop students as skilled human resources: VC

DHAKA, Dec 7, 2025 (BSS) - Vice-Chancellor (VC) of National University (NU) 
Professor Dr ASM Amanullah today said the university is working to develop 
the students as the skilled human resources aiming to face the future 
challenge.

The VC said this while inaugurating a year-long Bachelor of Education (B.ED) 
curriculum revision and improvement workshop as the chief guest at Shaheed 
Sadat Ali conference room of IER of Dhaka University here.

The workshop was organised by the National University.

Dr Amanullah said the ICT and English course have been made compulsory in the 
first year honors along with reforming the existing syllabus in order to make 
the higher education action oriented.

Similarly, signing agreement is underway with different noted universities 
and technology institutes in home and abroad for creating scope of teaching 
modern and higher education for the NU students.

With Director (acting) of the Institute of Education and Research (IER) 
Professor Hosne Ara Begum, the daylong workshop was also attended by the IER 
teachers, teachers of the university, representatives from Board of 
Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) and teachers from different 
teachers training colleges.
