Faruk E Azam mourns death of Begum Khaleda Zia

DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) – Disaster Management and Relief, and Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-E-Azam, Bir Protik, has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

In a condolence message today, the adviser said that an important and glorious chapter in the political history of Bangladesh has come to an end with the death of Begum Khaleda Zia. 

Her role in the struggle to establish democracy, multi-party political culture and people's rights in the country will be remembered, he added. 

He mentioned that the nation will forever remember with respect the role she played in strengthening the country's democracy and strengthening democratic institutions.

The Adviser prayed for the eternal peace of her departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
