Army chief attends CMP’s annual commanders' conf in Savar Cantonment

DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman today attended the Annual Commanders' Conference of the Corps of Military Police (CMP) in Bangladesh at the Corps of Military Police Center and School (CMPC&S) in Savar Cantonment. 

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest he praised the role of the CMP in the international arena and congratulated each member of the Corps, said a release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate here this evening.

The army chief also mentioned the glorious tradition of the CMP in maintaining the discipline and security of the army and the contribution of this Corps to serving the motherland.

At the same time, the Chief of Army Staff remembered all the valiant freedom fighters, including the brave CMP soldiers who made their supreme sacrifices in the Great War of Liberation in 1971.

General Waker-Uz-Zaman also exchanged views on various issues including the technical development, research, professional skills enhancement and future plans of the Corps.
Among others, Senior Military Officers of Army Headquarters and Savar Area, Commanders of all CMP units of Bangladesh Army and media persons were present.
