DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

In a condolence message issued today, the adviser said that Khaleda Zia will remain eternally remembered in the history of the country due to her relentless struggle for the advancement of parliamentary democracy, the development of a multi-party political culture and the establishment of people’s rights.  

He noted that her guidance in the country’s socio-economic and overall economic progress remains unforgettable.

He said the people of the country will always remember her rich contributions to the advancement of the country and nation with deep respect. 

The adviser prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and her political well-wishers.
