
KHULNA, Jan 11, 2026 (BSS) – A security coordination meeting was held at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) today to ensure the smooth, peaceful and secure conduct of the 2025–26 first-year admission tests.
The admission test for first-year BSc Engineering, BURP and BArch programmes will be held on Thursday, January 15. The written examination is scheduled from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the BArch freehand drawing test will take place from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm.
The meeting took place at 3 pm in the university’s administrative building conference room, with participation from university authorities and law enforcement agencies.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Maksud Helali chaired the meeting. Among those present were Prof Dr Muhammad Harunur Rashid, Dean of the Civil Engineering Faculty and Convener of the Admission Test Committee; deans of various faculties; the university registrar; Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Deputy Police Commissioner (North) Sudarshan Kumar Roy; Inspector Sardar Md Hayat Ali of the City Special Branch; AKM Shaheen Iqbal, Assistant Director (Metro) of the National Security Intelligence; Assistant Police Commissioner (Traffic) Md Fazlul Kabir; officers-in-charge or representatives from Khan Jahan Ali, Daulatpur and Aranghata police stations; and KUET’s senior security officer.
The meeting discussed overall law and order in and around the campus, the safety of examinees and guardians, traffic management, and ensuring smooth movement on examination day.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor said the admission test is a major and important event, stressing coordinated efforts between the university administration and law enforcement agencies to ensure security and hassle-free movement for candidates and guardians.
Special emphasis was placed on preventing digital fraud, strengthening security at examination centres, and easing traffic congestion in the campus vicinity.
