DHAKA, Jan 11, 2026 (BSS) - All Upazila Primary Education Officers across the country have been instructed to complete referendum-related training by January 15.

The instruction was given through an office order, signed recently by Director (Administration) of the Directorate of Primary Education Md Masud Hossain.

According to the office order, in the light of the decision taken to create public awareness on 'Referendum-2026', an action plan (training and awareness) has been formulated and the implementation report has been requested to be sent to the e-mail ([email protected]) during office hours.

All officers and employees in the offices of the heads of departments at the division, district and upazila levels must complete referendum-related training by January 15, 2026. In this case, if necessary, officers and employees will be connected online.

Divisional, district and upazila level officers will conduct promotional activities in coordination with divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners and upazila nirbahi officers.

All department heads (divisional, district and upazila level) will conduct campaign on the referendum on their official Facebook accounts. To this end, the pictures/videos of the campaign will be tagged on the Facebook accounts of the concerned upazila nirbahi officer/municipal administrator/district administrator/district level officer of the concerned department/divisional commissioner/mayor or administrator and city corporation.

All educational institutions at the district and upazila levels will be required to display banners on the topic of "Referendum-2026" within one working day.

Teachers at all levels will be trained so that they can play a role in creating awareness about the referendum in the society.
