NARAIL, Jan 20, 2026 (BSS) - Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma today urged people to ensure a 'Yes' vote in the February 12 referendum to sustain the process of change in the country.

Addressing a views-exchange meeting on referendum campaigning at the Narail Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium, organised by the district administration, he said the referendum would provide a strong foundation for public welfare and continued development.

He warned that there would be zero tolerance for irregularities in the voting process, saying CCTV cameras would be installed at polling centres and security personnel would use body-worn cameras.

He also said Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has called for making the nationwide referendum successful in the interest of the people.

Narail Deputy Commissioner Dr Md Abdul Salam chaired the meeting, which was attended by district officials and media representatives.

Later, the adviser inaugurated a campaign truck-van to promote the referendum and motivate voters in remote areas.
