DHAKA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) today urged Bangladeshi expatriate voters to complete their postal ballot voting and send the ballots by January 25 to ensure timely delivery.

The request was made in a press release signed by EC Secretariat Director (Public Relations) and Information Officer Md Ruhul Amin Mallick.

The Commission said the instruction is aimed at ensuring that votes cast by expatriate voters reach the respective Returning Officers within the stipulated time.

If the postal ballots are not posted by January 25 next, there will be a risk in reaching the Returning Officer on time.

To this end, expatriate voters will have to complete the voting process through postal ballots by January 25 and post them to the nearest post office, the press release said.
