Dry weather likely across country

DHAKA, Jan 25, 2026 (BSS) - Dry weather with a temporarily partly cloudy sky is likely to prevail across the country, according to a forecast issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today.

"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country," said a BMD bulletin issued this morning.

The forecast, valid for 120 hours commencing from 9:00 am today, said light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning.

Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The lowest temperature today was recorded 10.2 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet division, while the highest temperature recorded yesterday was 31.6 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram division.

Today's sunset in Dhaka will be at 5:40 pm, while tomorrow's sunrise is expected at 6:42 am.
