
DHAKA, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS) - The holy Shab-e-Barat will be observed across the country tomorrow (February 3) night with due dignity and solemnity.
On this occasion, Islamic Foundation (IF) has taken various programmes, including recitation of the Holy Quran, Hamd-Na'at, waz and doa mahfil at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque tomorrow.
The holy Shab-e-Barat programmes will begin at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Maghrib prayers with waz mahfil.
At 6:30 pm, Mufti Maulana Nazrul Islam Qasemi, Khatib of Badamtoli Shahzada Lane Jame Masjid in Dhaka, will deliver a sermon highlighting the virtues, importance and significance of Laylatul Baraat in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith.
At 8:30 pm, Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain will deliver a sermon on the teachings, dos and don'ts of Laylatul Baraat in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith.
Islamic Foundation Director General (Senior District and Session Judge) Abdus Salam Khan will preside over the programme.
Baitul Mukarram National Mosque will remain open for Muslim devotees throughout the night for prayers. The Shab-e-Barat programmes will conclude with the final doa after Fajr prayers. The final doa will be led by Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Maulana Muhammad Mizanur Rahman.
Similar discussions, sermons and doa mahfils will be organised at the divisional and district level offices of the Islamic Foundation, Islamic Mission Centres and Imam Training Academy on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat.
