LAKSHMIPUR, Feb 21, 2026 (BSS)- Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee today placed wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar in Lakshmipur on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day.

After laying wreaths while talking to journalists, he said the opposition parties should cooperate with the government and help run the country.

There may be differences of opinion, and opposition on various issues is natural, but all parties should work together to determine how to build the country, he said.

He said creating mobs and an environment of disorder could hinder the nation-building process. Those who create mobs to obstruct the country’s progress would ultimately become enemies of the state, he said.

District BNP Member Secretary Sahabuddin Sabu; Vice President of the Bangladesh Football Federation Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy; District BNP Joint Convener Advocate Hasibur Rahman, among others, were present.
