DHAKA, Mar 2, 2026 (BSS)- Nurul Islam Moni, Member of Parliament from Barguna-2 constituency, has been appointed as the Chief Whip of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad. 

Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat Kaniz Mowla said President Mohammad Shahbuddin appointed Nurul Islam Moni as the Chief Whip of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad.

In addition, six other Members of Parliament have been appointed as Whips. They are- GK Gaus MP from Habiganj-3, Rokibul Islam Bokul MP from Khulna-3, Mia Nuruddin Ahmed Opu MP from Shariatpur-3, Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu MP from from Natore-2, Akhtaruzzaman Mia MP from Dinajpur-4, and Ashraf Uddin Nijan MP from Lakshmipur-4.

Parliament Secretariat has issued a gazette in this regard today.

The newly appointed Chief Whip and Whips are likely to take oath tomorrow.
