Biman suspends six Middle East routes until further notice

DHAKA, March 2, 2026 (BSS) - Biman Bangladesh Airlines today announced suspension of flights to six Middle Eastern destinations until further notice citing the prevailing security situation in the region.

In a notice, the national flag carrier said all flights to Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Kuwait have been suspended as a precautionary measure.

"The safety and security of passengers is our top priority. The situation is being monitored and any updates will be communicated in due course," Biman said.

The airline requested passengers travelling to the affected destinations to contact the nearest Biman sales office or their respective travel agencies for further assistance.

For inquiries, passengers have been asked to call the Biman hotline at 13636 or, for international callers, +88 096109 13636.

Biman said it is closely monitoring developments and will issue further updates as the situation evolves.
