Pranay Verma greets Afroza on assuming office as minister

DHAKA, March 7, 2026 (BSS) – Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma today greeted Afroza Khanam Rita on assuming office as civil aviation and tourism minister while welcoming her at an Iftar reception hosted by the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza attended the Iftar reception at a city hotel this afternoon.

Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma warmly received the minister at the event and congratulated her for taking charge of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, read a press release issued by the civil aviation and tourism ministry. 

The reception was attended by numbers of cabinet members, members of the diplomatic corps, senior officials and other distinguished guests.
