Finance Minister mourns death of Ctg BNP leader Sentu

CHATTOGRAM, March 7, 2026 (BSS) - Finance and Planning Minister and BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Abdul Quddus Sentu, former vice-president of Bandar Thana BNP in the port city.
 
In a condolence message, the minister said Sentu will be remembered for his significant contribution to political and social activities. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Abdul Quddus Sentu, the former Vice President of Bandar Thana BNP and newly elected Director of Bangladesh Shipping Agents' Association, passed away today at 11 am while receiving treatment at Apollo Imperial Hospital in Chattogram. He was 61-year-old at the time of his death.
 
He is survived by his son, three daughters, and many relatives and admirers to mourn his death. Sentu’s namaz-e-janaza will be held tonight at 10:30 pm in city’s Halishahor area, and he will be laid to rest thereafter.
