Doa, iftar mahfil held at DU praying for Khaleda Zia

DHAKA, Mar 7, 2026 (BSS) - Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) at Dhaka University organized a Quran recitation, doa and iftar mahfil on the campus, praying for the eternal peace of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The program was arranged by the JCD's Hazi Muhammad Mohsin Hall unit on the hall premises. Leaders and activists of the hall unit, along with general students, teachers and staff members of the university, attended the event.

The program was presided over by Abujar Gifari Efat, convener of the Mohsin Hall unit Chhatra Dal, while Member Secretary Mansur Ahmad moderated the event.

Efat said Begum Khaleda Zia is a symbol of struggle and inspiration for political activists.

"Stateswoman Begum Khaleda Zia, an icon of struggle, is our inspiration on the political path. Hazi Muhammad Mohsin Hall Chhatra Dal wants to move forward with that inspiration," he said.

Among others present at the event were Dhaka University Chhatra Dal President Ganesh Chandra Ray Sahos and General Secretary Nahiduzzaman Shipon.
