British-Bangladeshi lawyers hold iftar gathering in London

DHAKA, Mar 7, 2026 (BSS) - The Society of British Bangladeshi Solicitors (SBBS), the largest professional organization of British-Bangladeshi solicitors working in England and Wales, held its Iftar gathering at a hall in London.

Society's President Muhammad Nurul Gaffar presided over the event and Acting Secretary Imrul Sheikh Imu moderated it, according to a message received here today. 

Judge Belayet Hossain, Taj Shah, Nazir Ahmed and Saif Uddin Khaled spoke at the programme, among others. 

Imam of East London Mosque Abul Hossain offered doa.

Sabbir Ahmed, representative of Charity Partner House of Giving, also addressed the gathering.

Former presidents of the society, leaders of the London Bangla Press Club Taisir Mahmud, Khaled Noor, Suhel Uddin, Asaduzzaman, Fakhrul Islam, Mehdi Hasan, Nashit Rahman, Syed Afzal Jami, Mahbubur Rahman and Anwar Hossain, along with other distinguished personalities from the legal profession and the community, also attended the programme.

President Muhammad Nurul Gaffar presented the society's plans and event calendar for 2026 to the members and prayed for the society members.
