41 dengue patients hospitalized in 24 hrs

DHAKA, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - 41 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.

However, no deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported during this period, said the DGHS press release.

Meanwhile, 30 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals during this period. With this, a total of 1,715 patients have been released from hospitals so far in 2026.

So far this year, a total of 1,793 people have been infected with dengue, of which 62.7 percent are male and 37.3 percent are female.

A total of four people have died from dengue so far this year.

From January 1 to December 31, 2025, a total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue and 413 people died from the disease.

In 2024, the country recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths from the disease.
