DHAKA, April 13, 2026 (BSS) – The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 today allowed its investigation agency to interrogate former DGFI chief Lt Gen (retd) Sheikh Mamun Khaled for two days in a case over alleged enforced disappearances during the Awami League rule.

The ICT-2, headed by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, passed the order this afternoon after showing the former DGFI chief arrested in the case.

“The ICT probe body has taken him into custody and will interrogate him for the next two days at its safe home,” Chief Prosecutor Md Aminul Islam said.

The chief prosecutor said the prosecution had filed petitions a couple of days earlier seeking to show Sheikh Mamun Khaled arrested in the case and allow the probe agency to interrogate him.

“But as he was on remand in other cases, the jail authorities could not produce him before the tribunal till today. He was produced before the tribunal today and it allowed both our petitions in this connection,” he added.
