Bangladesh, Argentina for expanding bilateral trade

DHAKA, April 13, 2026 (BSS) – Bangladesh and Argentina today laid special emphasis on expanding bilateral trade, enhancing cooperation in the agricultural sector, and strengthening collaboration in sports.

The discussion was made when Argentine Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcelo Carlos Cesa paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir at the Prime Minister’s Office here, said a press release here. 

During the meeting, the adviser reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to further strengthening and deepening the friendly relations between the two countries.

The adviser also urged Argentina to support Bangladesh’s candidate for the presidency of the 81st session (2026–2027) of the United Nations General Assembly.
