23,372 pilgrims reach Saudi Arabia

DHAKA, April 22, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 23,372 Hajj pilgrims so far from Bangladesh reached Saudi Arabia in the four days of Hajj travel, according to the Hajj bulletin. 

Director of Bangladesh Hajj Office Lokman Hossain said all together 58 flights arrived in Jeddah by 10 am today,

Lokman informed 78,500 people from Bangladesh have been allowed to perform Hajj this year.

Of them, 660 agencies are responsible for managing Hajj under the private arrangement, including 30 lead agencies and 630 coordinating agencies.

According to airline-wise data, 8,674 pilgrims arrived on 21 flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 8,247 on 121 flights of Saudi Airlines and 6,451 on 16 flights of Flynas Airlines.

The remaining 54,904 Hajj pilgrims will reach gradually with designated Airlines, the director said. 

According to hajj office information, a total of 4,565 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government management and 73,935 under the private arrangement. 

Subject to moon sighting, the holy Hajj will be held in Saudi Arabia on May 26.
